August Organisation

Now, I know it would sound better to have October Organisation, but I thought it was a bit drastic to leave this place a mess for another 2 months just for a bit of alliteration.

From August on I'm planning to post up here three times a week (plus at random points when I have something exciting to announce).

This all might change as I work out what I'm doing more, but at the moment we'll have:

Monday Memos - all my little updates about what what I'm writing, editing, plotting (world dominantion is only a few moments away *manic laugh*), and whatever.

Wednesday Wonderings - what can I say, I have a lot of weird thoughts that probably won't fit in anywhere else. Anything could happen here!

Friday's Answered Question - my version of FAQ. Apparently a website isn't a real website if it doesn't have a FAQ page, so if anyone wants to ask me anything, here's the place you might get an answer. For the moment I'm making the questions up myself but feel to jump in if you want.

If you haven't guessed already, I'm a bit over-organised about pretty much everthing. Be afraid, it will only get worse from here on in - if I start talking about spreadsheets run ;)

And that's it for now.

*Goes off to work on second round edits for Turquoise, which I should have started doing half an hour ago*

I'm back!

I've been a bit absent for the last couple of weeks. I've moved into a new writing space and everything's been all to pot. I'm getting myself sorted out again now, so I should be about a lot more.

I really should be editing rather than blogging right now, but I'll pop back in to tell you a bit about my current writing project soon. I've also got a few plans for this blog that I'll be putting into place during the next couple of weeks - so there should be a lot more activity on here then.

My other on going project this month is setting up a website. It seems to be up and running now *touches wood* if you want to check it out.

Contract

Hi everyone,

Just a quick update.

I signed the contract with Total-e-bound to publish Turquoise and Leather late last night.

So, it's all nice and official now :)

Turquoise and Leather info

Hi everyone,

Here's some of that info about Turquoise and Leather I was talking about yesterday.

Let's start with the blurb -

George McAllister knows better than to hook up with an untrained submissive. He doesn’t have the patience to guide a novice through his first kinky experiences. His lovers have to know what they are doing and do what they are told. When he sees Eric dancing on top of a table in a kinky club, he assumes the beautiful young man is an experienced submissive. Then he sees the turquoise and leather on his neck and recognises it as a collar. Someone else already owns Eric. George has no choice but to walk away.

Eric Jordan doesn’t know much about kink and he has no idea why George is suddenly less than enthusiastic. But he knows what he wants and if he has to chase after George to get it, so be it. If George wants to believe the pretty bit of rock on his necklace means something kinky, that’s fine. But Eric doesn’t belong to anyone but himself and he won’t give up possession of himself for one night in George’s bed.

An untrained submissive might not be what George wants, but he could be just what George needs.

As you might have guessed from the names the story is and male/male. And, like most of my stories, there a BDSM flavour to it.

It's going to be released as a Lust Bite on December 1st this year.

Closer to the time, I'll post an extract and what-not, but that's it for this post.

Turquoise and Leather

I suppose the logical question for anyone to ask after my last post is - why am I writing an author biography for Total-e-bound?

Well, I'm very happy to tell you the answer.

On July 1st - (Total-e-bound's first birthday as it happens) they offered me a contract for one of my stories - Turquoise and Leather.

Now, I'm new to all this publishing business, and I'm not sure if I'm allowed to post the blurb or what I'm allowed to tell you about the book. So, that will have to wait until I can find out the right information.

For now, I'll just say - this is the first story I've had accepted for publication and I'm thrilled to bits, happy as Larry, over the moon and all those other cliches that writers are supposed to avoid.

Hello

You know that moment on TV. The one where somebody hands the character a microphone for a sound check and tells them to 'say something'. And suddenly a person who has no trouble talking nineteen to the dozen the rest of the time can't think of a single thing to say.

I'm having a microphone moment. So I'm going to cheat and copy-and-paste something to start me off.

This is the author biography I'm in the middle of writing for Total-e-bound.

Kim is 25 years old, from a small town in South Wales.

After writing for years, Kim is finally editing some of the stories to share with the rest of the world. Kim writes both male/male and male/female stories that range from the dark and paranormal right through to the lighter, funnier side of life.

The only thing every story contains is a happy ever after for the two (or more!) characters that deserve it most. Oh, and kinky sex – there’s always plenty of that too – but Kim takes no responsibility for any of that. It’s all the characters fault. Honest…
